Wallace and Marilyn Hickey

Wallace Hickey, Founding Pastor of Orchard Road Christian Center is a man recognized by Christian leaders worldwide for his uncompromising passion for God. On fire with a hunger to evangelize in 1958, he soon accepted the pastoral call which is at the heart of his God-given ministry.

Following an initial assignment as Visitation Pastor in Amarillo, Texas, Pastor Wally and his wife, Marilyn Hickey, returned to Colorado to pioneer Full Gospel Chapel in Denver. Starting with a core of just 25 people in 1960, the congregation grew to more than 2,000 by the mid-1980s.

Pastor Wally’s focus on the Word of God, freedom in praise, and the move of the Holy Spirit helped to forge the vibrant character of the rapidly growing church. Renamed Happy Church, it became one of America’s leading centers of charismatic Christianity. Known today as Orchard Road Christian Center, the congregation is in its fifth decade of vibrant worship and sincere dedication to God’s Spirit and Word.

Marilyn Hickey, as founder and president of Marilyn Hickey Ministries, Marilyn is being used by God to help "cover the earth with the Word." Her Bible teaching ministry is an international outreach via television, satellite, books, tapes, videotapes, and crusades. She is committed to overseas ministry and has established an international program of Bible and food distribution. Marilyn is a pastor's wife and mother of two grown children. She is married to Wallace Hickey, the senior pastor of Orchard Road Christian Center.
